The Royal Society of Canada has named 91 members to its inaugural College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists. NSIS warmly congratulates all new members, among whom are three scientists based in Nova Scotia:

Dr. Randall Martin, Department of Physics and Atmospheric Science, Dalhousie University
Dr. David Risk, Department of Earth Sciences, St. Francis Xavier University
